The grid has changed so much! Multiple updates on the new Viewer 2.0 have my head swimming as new functions and interface have been developed. The only complaint I have is the annoying "bounce" in inventory when it is loading or when I try to open up a folder. But, they will fix it. A lot of stuff has been fixed recently... and more to come!


I've been concentrating on a lot of new things on the grid and also working on several new projects in the real world, too. So, I haven't been on the grid as much as I usually am though I don't seem to have missed much!


Summer is looming on the horizon and I expect the grid to expand with new citizens as school lets out and more and more people hop on board to our fast moving platform in Second Life.


Both of us are looking forward to this summer! See you all at the next party, event or festival. We look forward to new regions, new friends and new interests as this grid changes, morphs and expands into every aspect of everyone's lifestyle!


Here we goooooooooo! Summer of 2011 is coming fast!

A new year is coming, and I've been on this grid forever! As all things pass into the memories of 2010, we begin anew with a promise of bigger and brighter things for 2011!



Tonight, we are with old friends and new over at Happy Clam Island. Organica is the outdoor gathering in the grassy meadow nestled in between the particles and psytrance music.



DJ Barbs Kurka is at the helm spinning her brand of music, and it is a never-ending dance party like no other.





2011... may things change and never change! Woot!

Five visits and I finally feel like I have absorbed the art work there at Mysterious Wave. But, each time I go back, I see something new or different... or am I different this time?







Cherry Manga has been a favorite artist since I first saw her 2-dimensional work back in 2007. Several of her works hang in the corporate homes peppered around the grid. And, I have saved the best pieces for my regions: [WETLands (128, 128, 23)]







Her work speaks volumes. It whispers and shouts many things, but those are very personal, and I won't discuss them here. Just go to her latest installation on Mysterious Wave,  a place dedicated to her minimal art.








Bring a friend, but I suggest that you go alone. Spend time there sitting and experiencing the art. I think I have about 8 hours into the place, and I want to go back again.

The Boom Pony Music Club has been rawking it in with 80+ people showing up recently for Guitar Zane concert.










Today, Boom Pony is streaming a dual live concert with two popular guitarists, Guitar Zane and TwinGhost Ronas. Two powerful musical presence vibrating off the majestic snowy-capped mountains in the background.












A great open space in the outdoors, awesome musicians and friendly folks... it doesn't get much better than that! Thank you Kiran and Andi for an awesome place!

University of Western Australia just held their UWA 3D Art and Design competition. Allowing the people to choose their favorite artists and giving them awards, UWA encourages artists in Second Life to create digitally what can only be done here.


My very favorite was Nishi Mip's works. Her "Umbrellas" was the People's Choice 1st Place Award, but I also loved her other piece with the robots housed inside a strange orange cubicle of programmed lights. What a remarkable artist she is!


Another favorite was Uby Ifu's "Tristan Areless" avatar. Amazingly real, as real as an avatar can be; the piece made me smile.














With the arts suffering world wide from a lack of government and consumer support due to economic woes, I was glad to see that education and UWA step in to support the artists here.















Thank you to UWA for their wonderful art and design competition. Here is the notecard info that you can collect at the show. To the left of the voting wall, you will find a click and receive board for a notecard full of information. Here is what it says:

How To Vote

1. You have up to 3 votes to give.
2. Only one vote per item on the board (you cannot give one item more than one vote).
3. Touch the item for which you would like to vote. The board will tell you alone in chat and in a blue confirmation menu which item it is you are voting for.
4. Click YES if it is the correct item, or NO if you wish to change your mind/have touched the wrong item.
5. You have 60 seconds to respond before the confirmation menu times out.
6. The board will confirm in chat which item you have voted for and how many votes you have cast. As you get the chance to confirm or declien a vote no discussion of "misplaced votes" will be entered into.

University of Pacific is in the heart of the Great Valley in California. In close proximity to San Francisco and the State Capitol of Sacramento, UOP resides in Stockton.




A beautiful brick campus, it is a lovely place to hang out and just meditate on the brick walls or near the library.



In Second Life, UOP is a strong presence. We met Pacific Tigerpaw, the administrator and manager of the sim.

raftwet jewell of WETLands Group

I built my first sky waterfall on Bisque in 2007. The build has 
morphed many times and I placed the current version on RiverLand.




My inspiration was the sky waterfall at SL Botanical Gardens. 
The builder there has been my most favorite builder here in Second Life. 
Her region is one of the best on the grid.




My version is a bit psy and a nod to the incredible waterfalls that 
I have seen in real life. Only Mother Nature can create what I have 
seen and my pitiful attempts are just to pay homage to her.




I own WET Builders, WETLands Group, and both regions 
WETLands and RiverLand. As a builder, my focus 
is nature and water elements. Of course, this is Second Life, so I usually add a bit
of psy to the build, too.
 



All my lands on the mainland and the regions are open to the public. 
The only place that has barriers is my personal home. You are all 
welcome to everything else. Please enjoy!
