University of Pacific is in the heart of the Great Valley in California. In close proximity to San Francisco and the State Capitol of Sacramento, UOP resides in Stockton.

A beautiful brick campus, it is a lovely place to hang out and just meditate on the brick walls or near the library.

In Second Life, UOP is a strong presence. We met Pacific Tigerpaw, the administrator and manager of the sim.

Go check out this virtual university!

Blue Galaxy in Second Life

river on blue galaxy, originally uploaded by rafeejewell.

I've been exploring again with friends and my partner. There are so many beautiful sims on the Second Life grid. I am always stunned at the creators here.

Aoshi sent me a tp the other night to Blue Galaxy. Now, I've been there before, but the textures on the hills and mountains have been changed. They are unbelievably realistic.

The river is gorgeous with rays of light washing over the sky. We stayed for quite awhile talking in chat and just hanging out there.

A few nights later, Xavi and I went to Avilion Ballroom. This is probably my all time favorite ballroom in Second Life. I think almost every romantic couple in SL has been here.

But, the difference that night was the incredible sky waterfalls they created. Gawd, they were fantastic! I have a sky waterfall too on RiverLand that was inspired by SL Botanical Gardens, but this was just absolutely gorgeously created.

There is no end to the beauty of this grid. Try to explore and see what the builders have made just for you.

Visit Mexico - Mexico Chichen Itza

visit mexico in second life, originally uploaded by rafeejewell.

Summer travel is almost here! Americas have offerings from the USA to South America. Visit Mexico is a virtual world sim in Second Life offering travel experiences to the Archeological sites of Chichen Itza.

Tonight, Visit Mexico held a concert of live music featuring Second Life's favorite musician, Maximillion Kleene.

I've been coming to this sim since 2007 and I am so glad to see it still being supported by Mexico Tourism! Woot!

Ethereal music drifting through the particles highlighting the installation at the Quantum Musical Entanglements concert.

Skye Galaxy and Cypress Rosewood weaving a mesmerizing array of musical notes wrapping around our selves.

This is a technological concert merging art, music and avatars fully immersed into the performance itself.

Soothing... enriching the soul... I drift away above all worries and approach nirvana here on Kolor Studio. Thank you Kolor Fall for this beautiful presentation on your land.

Saturday night is for fighting... NOT! But, I really felt like a hard rock party tonight.

We tp'ed into Sanctuary Rock and 40+ avis were there partying with dj Erika Radek spinning the hard stuff.

Rammstein, Otep, Combichrist and others were ripping the deck off the grid. Sooooo fun! Woot!

PG Groups and Me

Jake's Club Resort : Second Anniversary Carnivale!

Recently, Xavier and I went to Jake's Club Resort to celebrate with the boys their second Anniversary. JakeC Hotshot and partner, Baz Ceawlin held a Carnivale to celebrate their success. A great party with close friends that reminded me of how fun SL can be as a user-friendly place. I took the shot above of the wonderful outdoor display against the setting sun.

Kelly Yap Art Gallery

I am writing today to clarify a couple of restrictions in my groups here in Second Life, koinup and other directories. I administer PG groups only. There are enough mature and adult groups out there, and I applaud their efforts. But, for me, my groups are PG.

HPMD Winterfest

In koinup, I have several groups that highlight the OUTDOORS, WATER, RIVERS, SPORTS, CLUBS, and THE A LIST!. All are PG.

WETLANDS region in Second Life

I just spent 2 hours deleting beautiful photography from a couple of group members that showed frontal nudity and nude back shots. I had asked them before not to send them into my groups. I am sure they sent them in inadvertently as I know how easy it is to forget group rules when you belong to many.

Templum Obscurum

I figure that to take a photo of a calendar pinup shot is a focus that has been done over and over again. But, to capture the emotion and feeling of the above groups, takes an effort without titillating the audience over frontal nudity or toush shots. Been there, seen it already...

Surfing in Second Life

The avatars in all the metaverse are some of the most creative people I have ever met. Their art is profound, provacative and artful. I just want to keep my groups PG because I think it has a far greater audience and scope. Besides, in the digital world, isn't the naked avi kind of a boring shot anyway?
